Getting immediate UUCP transfer

(First time setup - step 9)

Maybe the hourly transport has just ended and you have an important mail that must be sent immediately… well, there are three methods to get the mail sent at once.

1. Priority mail. If you find an option in your E-mail software that has the name priority or Urgent, try use this with the highest level. This should normally trigger the UUCP transport - but only if you are allowed to use this functionality (see User Setup). Also, many E-mail packages doesnt support the priority function, one is the MS Exchange client. In these cases you can still get priority by writing: (priority) somewhere in the Subject line. The brackets must be included. The command will be removed by Mailcoach before the mail is actually sent.

2. Remote Command StartTransport. Send a mail with the recipient set to starttransport, this will also start a UUCP transport. This is useful if you are waiting for a mail from outside and want Mailcoach to fetch it immediately.

3. Mail queue threshold. By configuring this function to 1 mail, a transport will start every time someone sends a mail. See the Reference section Hosts chapter, for details concerning this function.
